I'm a 30-something female living in Ontario, Canada and I've been making fan music videos for more than 15 years - at last count I'm sitting around 45 videos across 10 different fandoms, with few more that have been sitting around in various stages of completion for ages I hope to one day finish (including a few based in "new" fandoms).

I was given the nickname "Jamieson" way back in high school and it's been my online handle ever since. I'm an archaeologist working in Ontario - while I enjoy working close to home, my passion (and my Master's degree) lies in Mesoamerican archaeology and I've had the opportunity to work on sites in Belize and Nicaragua, the latter being my main area of interest. I've also had the opportunity to do some work on Crete in Greece, which is actually where the name of this site was first thought up.

So...why "the cardboard experience?" Good question, somewhat ridiculous answer. While working on Crete back in 2006, my fellow students and I were bantering back and forth, and somehow the words "cardboard" and "experience" ended up together in the same sentence - I honestly cannot remember what we were talking about at the time. Anyway, I made a joke about it being a great name for a band, but shortly thereafter I decided, rather seriously, that it would be the name for my vidding website when I finally got around to it. Why? No frakkin' clue. Relevance? None whatsoever, which is why I thought it would make a great name :-)

Other interests I have include reading, writing, traveling, and scuba diving (the latter preferably in combination with the traveling - diving in Canada is cold!).  While I enjoy all kinds of diving, my biggest passion is cavern diving, especially the cenotes in the Yucatan, which explains some of the photos scattered about the site. As the fandoms that I've made vids for would suggest, I'm also a big scifi and fantasy geek, and I'm always looking for a new obsession to take over.
